Introduction to Scrum
In continuation to my last article on Agile Transformation, here I will help you understand the basics of Scrum. If you are new to Scrum way of working, I am sure you will get an overview about what exactly is done as part of this framework.
The word Scrum is borrowed from the game of Rugby, where the complete team comes into a huddle before the game is started. This was done to stress the importance of the teams in complex product development.
So, what is Scrum? The below image will give you a perspective on it:

The Scrum Framework is made up of 3 parts, and each component within the framework serves a specific purpose and is essential to Scrum’s success and usage:

Ceremonies -> Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, Backlog Refinement…
Artifacts -> Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Increment…
